Each week, I make a looseleaf herbal tea blend that we serve at our community. For me, this act of ritual is offered as community-care, and grief tending. Many of the herbs are homegrown, harvested and hand-sifted at our Urban Homestead — we feed our plants with homemade compost, and never use any form of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
