Hollow
On the third anniversary of October 7th, there is a grief that refuses to resolve into a manicured landscape. This piece sits inside the hollow, haunted particularity of a Jewish experience in this moment. The ripples of grief that get weaponized the moment it's spoken. Even as I speak it, I will not turn away from the unthinkable hollowed out Palestinian landscapes. This piece is not an argument for moral equivalence, it is an invitation to breathe, and grieve - and make room for others to do the same. It is a blanket refusal to let grief be simplified, silenced, weaponized, or erased. May we find tools to hear, hold, and release our ripples of grief - so we can find our way back to the table, and stay in the conversation.
